Sell Bottled Oxygen for £300,000 – MoneyMagpie

Reading Time: 2 mins

Ever heard of HushHush? It’s a website often called the Amazon for millionaires. You can find the most expensive items in the world on there with just a click of your mouse. And guess what one of those items is? That’s right, you’re breathing it in right now. HushHush is now selling bottled oxygen! And at rate of between £55,500 and £329,650…

Why is it so expensive?

The ‘Million-air’ bottles contain air from the purest and cleanest areas of the world including the South American Andes, the Canadian Rockies and even the Lake District. The most expensive bottle onsite contains oxygen from Mount Everest and retails at £329,650. The new category offers clean air to individuals who crave non-polluted air from some of the cleanest areas of the world.

Bottled Oxygen on the website starts retailing from £55,500 up to £329,650, dependant on the bottle size and source. Bottles from the Alps, Himalayas, Arctic, Snowdonia and the Scottish Highlands are currently in development.

Yes, but why is it soooooo expensive?

The bottles allow individuals who live in cities with high pollution levels to purchase and enjoy fresh oxygen from the cleanest areas of the world. The bottles also allow individuals who have moved away from their birthplace to purchase a sample of their ‘home’ air.

It’s still not really an explanation for the massive price tag, but there’s an opportunity here to make a quick buck. Things sell for this kind of price because people are willing to pay the money. When you have enough zeros in your bank account you start to see things differently (we assume) and can justify paying £300k for a nice bottle of Everest air.

How do I get involved?

Grab yourself a bottle and head somewhere exotic. No seriously, do it. We’re not quite sure how exactly this will work and how anyone will know if the air is ‘authentic’. But it doesn’t really matter, if you can find a way to get listed on this market place then you’ve hit the jackpot.

Anyhow, there must be a market for it as according to Aaron Harpin, founder and CEO of HushHush.com they added the category of bottled oxygen because there was a growing demand through onsite requests. Aaron says:

“We hope by offering ‘Bottled Oxygen’ our wealthy consumers can enjoy the purest air available without having to travel to the ends of the earth. We believe our customers deserve the finest things in life and with this unique product we’re offering clean air, wherever they live.”

Well, we’re still not exactly sold, but if you’re thinking of heading up to Everest base camp in the next few months, remember to take a bottle with you…
